Roy Williams, Jr. is a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Texas. Williams was drafted 7th overall in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. Many draft experts considered the pick a bold move since they had drafted Charles Rogers with the 2nd overall pick just a year earlier. While the pick was bold, it was also widely hailed by draft gurus and fans, as Williams was widely considered to be a top-3 talent, giving the Lions top value. Williams was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on October 14, 2008 for first, third and sixth round picks in the 2009 NFL Draft (the Cowboys also received a seventh round pick from the Lions in the same draft). He was then signed to a new contract through the 2013 season; Roy Williams agreed to a 5 year, 45 million dollar contract, along with 20 million guaranteed.
